Cancellation and Reversal Policy
1. Principles of Performance Attribution
Commissions across Amountshop are funded exclusively from genuine, finalized merchant commerce transactions. When a customer cancels an order before dispatch, returns an item during the merchant's 30-day return window, or initiates a banking chargeback, the underlying advertising commission is clawed back by the merchant partner.
2. Reversals During the Pending Hold Period
The standard 30-day conversion hold is engineered specifically to absorb customer cancellations. If an order is returned or cancelled during this hold window:
- The conversion status transitions from
PENDING_REVIEWtoREVERSED. - The pending commission entry in the affiliate's wallet is marked
REVERSEDwithout affecting liquid available balances. - Upline distributor overrides associated with that specific order are concurrently cancelled.
3. Post-Settlement Clawbacks (Compensating Adjustments)
In rare circumstances where a merchant reports an order as fraudulent, disputed, or retroactively returned after funds have moved to CONFIRMED_AVAILABLE:
- A formal compensating debit adjustment is posted to the affiliate's immutable ledger (
COMMISSION_REVERSED_CLAWBACK). - The debit entry explicitly references the original conversion order ID and merchant cancellation reference.
- If the member's available balance is sufficient, the amount is deducted from available Virtual Silver. If insufficient, the wallet reflects a negative balance offset against future confirmed commissions.
- Under no circumstances does Amountshop initiate unauthorized debits from an affiliate's personal Indian bank account or UPI handle.
4. Member Dispute Rights
If an affiliate believes a merchant clawback was issued in error (e.g. proof of completed delivery exists), they may lodge a formal ticket within 14 calendar days from the Affiliate Portal or via our Grievance Portal. Amountshop will represent the dispute to the merchant network.
