Cookie Policy (DPDP Act)
1. What Are Cookies and Attribution Tags?
Cookies are small alphanumeric text files stored on your browser or device when you visit websites or click promotional campaign links. On Amountshop, cookies are used strictly to provide essential website security, authenticate active sessions, and attribute eligible affiliate referral purchases.
2. Categories of Cookies Employed
- Essential & Session Cookies: Required for account login, secure SMS OTP authentication, CSRF token validation, and secure navigation across the Affiliate Portal. These cannot be disabled.
- Affiliate Attribution Cookies: Placed when an affiliate link is clicked to track sales attribution. These cookies have a standard lifespan of 30 days (or as designated by the merchant) and contain only a cryptographic click ID (`clk_id`), merchant ID, and affiliate member ID. They store zero financial or PII data.
- Analytics & Performance Cookies: Used on public pages to monitor site performance, page load speeds, and UI responsiveness. We utilize Google Analytics 4 (GA4) with IP anonymization enabled.
3. Zero Third-Party Advertising Trackers
Amountshop does not embed invasive behavioral advertising networks, cross-app tracking SDKs, or third-party data broker beacons. Attribution cookies serve the sole purpose of verifying commercial transaction completion.
4. Managing and Disabling Cookies
You can adjust your browser settings (Chrome, Firefox, Safari, Edge) to block or delete cookies at any time. However, disabling attribution cookies will prevent our redirect engine from recording your merchant purchases, and referral commissions cannot be calculated or credited to your Virtual Silver Wallet.
5. Compliance with DPDP Act, 2023
In accordance with the Digital Personal Data Protection Act, 2023, Amountshop provides explicit cookie consent banners on all public web portal pages informing visitors of cookie attribution before redirects are finalized.
